Our group focuses on smartification of conventional manufacturing process to achieve innovations in the manufacturing field. We combine conventional process technologies with our specialties such as lasers, artificial intelligence, metallurgy and CFD. Based on this philosophy, we have been conducting our research along two main directions. The first is the development of new process technologies that have not been attempted before. The other direction is the application of artificial intelligence for cost reduction to increase the productivity.
